If you haven’t exercised for a while, start with some modest activities and work your way up. If you’re not overweight, 30 minutes of moderate physical activity five or more times a week is all you need to maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle. Be sure to check with your doctor before you start any exercise program!
Hands down, the easiest and super effective form of exercise I’ve ever found is playing with kids. If they’re real small, you get a workout carrying them around and picking up after them. Slightly older kids keep you chasing after them (or they’re chasing after you!)… For me, the pure joy found in sharing simple fun with children always makes the soreness from the “accidental exercise” such a surprise!
Walking somewhere for a fun activity, or walking around at a fun activity, are the easiest kinds of exercise I have done.
