Pancreatic Cancer Survival: Resources

Pancreatic cancer survival is possible.

Pancreatic cancer often gets in the spotlight. Many celebrities, from Alex Trebek to Steve Jobs died from it. Here at UVA Health, our own cancer center bears the name of a Virginia state senator who died of pancreatic cancer: Emily Couric.

But more and more, people are overcoming odds. At UVA Health, we have a clinic dedicated to watching high-risk patients. If we find it early enough, we can remove pancreatic cancer. We can cure it before it even becomes cancer.

Here, we’ve collected stories of pancreatic cancer survival that will inspire you. You’ll also find resources and information to help you make the best healthcare choices possible.

Facing pancreatic cancer can feel like a lonely, hard journey. But it doesn’t have to be.
